Your introduction should be approximately 150–300 words long and include the following elements:

1. Identify Your Text (2-4 sentences).
Briefly summarize the novel or film in which you appear.
  • What is happening in this world?
  • What major conflict defines the society?
  • Who or what holds power?

  • Are you a rebel? A loyal citizen? A survivor? An enforcer?
  • What motivates you?

I am from Brave New World, the society is based around stability but with this comes the shallowness of true happiness at the cost of art, science, and freedom. The totalitarian government known as the World State, which is embodied by ten world controllers. I am highly intelligent, being a former physicist who consciously chose stability, happiness, and control over the truth and freedom. I am one of the ten global leaders, responsible for maintaining stability in the World State. My world is a post-apocalyptic society, rebuilding itself after nine years and is defined as a totalitarian surveillance state masked as a utopia. Control is not maintained through the threat of violence or constant surveillance, but through a total, life-long manipulation of human nature itself. The system is designed for the citizens to "love their servitude" and never think to rebel.

I very much enjoy my job as I see it as a way to crush criminals beliefs of escape. we keep everyone in line with constant surveillance using telescreens. we also use newspeak which is a type of language manipulation to assure individuality is never found. using these things we create fear of breaking the law and if it is broken you will be punished.

My deepest desire is the power of knowledge. I survived by betraying my family and attempt to avoid the conflict all together. In this world is it a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The system controls the citizens by dividing the society into five factions. Control is how this system is maintained by social pressure and illusion of choice.

John the savage

John is eager to be on his own and once he finally is , he finds it very hard to adapt to London's soulless condition society. John holds his own power by not submitting himself to this dystopian world and the "ten controllers". Some motives he has are giving the world love, stability and freedom. The society is build on avoiding any emotional or physical pain, which is seen as a threat to stability. strong love and family is restricted and banned to "prevent" jealously and instability.

Big Brother
2/25/2026 11:26:01 am

The world is controlled by "The Party" which is led by me, the figurehead of it all, Big Brother. The Party exists for the purpose of controlling and retaining power. We put the people in constant surveillance via telescreens and rewrite history in order to fit our narratives. Those who go against the party are punished through a combination of psychological manipulation and torture in order to free them of their disloyalty. We are a totalitarian surveillance state the prioritizes forced conformity and the disruption of individual thought. Using the Ministry of Truth, we destroy documents, photographs and records that do not align with our narrative.

Minerva
2/25/2026 11:27:16 am

In my story climate change has forever changed the world. because of climate change most people can't dream except us. native Americans. now the government hunts us for our bone marrow to make a cure for a problem that they cause. I now spent my days hiding and trying to keep my culture alive and show the young ones that its okay to be scared but we can't lose our identities in the process. I cant give up so I must fight to protect my people. I'm scared that we might get caught but I'm also scared that we wont remember who we are and where we came from. A big piece of our identities is our language which teach to the children. we are controlled by the white men and the government and they've truly destroyed the world we cherished. it almost always rains here and we are constantly on the move because we are among the survivors who've yet to be caught.. I am Minerva and I wont give up.

Clarisse McClellan
2/25/2026 11:32:15 am

Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel about the future of America where certain books are banned and the government burns all prohibited items in order to limit individual thoughts from the civilians. If you are found with any “contraband” you are taken and forced to “conform” to society norms by any means possible. I am Clarisse McClellan, Montag's neighbor. I’m 17. People usually call me “crazy” or “wild” just because I am brave enough to ask the questions that others won't. All I want is human connection and if the government continues to have the same control / power that they do now I'm afraid that it may never happen. Fahrenheit 451 is a post-apocalyptic dystopian world. America changed its way of functioning after a long and gruesome war. They “rewrite history” by retracting all of the books that painted them in a “bad” light. In reality these books are only acknowledging the wrongdoings of the government.

Here in Maze Runner Thomas, a teenager like me, wakes up with no memory in the Glade, a community where it’s just us boys. We are surrounded by a dangerous maze that is filled with monstrous Grievers, where the maze constantly shifts. We struggle for survival against this place, and it wedges between a strict order needed by leaders like me, but also the reckless, and innovative lead like Thomas; all trying to find a way out of the maze that surrounds us. But what we didn’t know, it was all an experiment from WICKED to find a cure for the Flare, a deadly brain-eating virus that has caused the outside world into a hectic place. I am Gally, a main leader, a Keeper of the Builders. I work and keep us safe by using intimidation to keep everything in order. I have fear for what is outside the maze, and it should not be played with. But even with this Thomas is one who brings chaos, and hatred from me. I now know what the world truly is a corporate-controlled society and post-apocalyptic; WICKED induced fear into us using threats with the Grievers, to confine us and prevent rebellion. Here in the totalitarian surveillance state, we were monitored. Our memories were wiped upon our entry in the Glades. I was manipulated into doing things I regret, but changed into someone later who helps.

President Snow
2/25/2026 12:01:19 pm

The book "The Hunger Games" is a dystopian novel that presents a futuristic world divided into districts controlled by an authoritarian government. I am President Snow and one of the main antagonists of the story. I am a ruthless and manipulative leader who rules with an iron fist from the Capitol. I represent absolute power and oppression, using fear and violence to maintain control over the districts. I embody the corruption and cruelty of the political system, which subjects the population to deadly games as a form of entertainment and social control. Throughout the novel, I am presented as calculating and willing to eliminate anything that threatens my regime, even if it means killing innocents.
The dystopia in which I live is a totalitarian society where inequality and constant surveillance are the norm.
In this world, individual freedom is virtually nonexistent, and anything that opposes my regime will be brutally punished.

O'Brien
2/25/2026 08:04:09 pm

My name is O'Brien. I live in the world of 1984. The party controls everything. There are telescreens watching us all the time. They change the news and erase the past. If you think for yourself, you are punished. The main conflict is between people who want freedom and the party that wants total control. WHo has the power you my ask? Big brother. And how the way your mind and your truth stays silent.

I am part of the inner party. I stay silent and loyal and protect the system. some people think they can recreate, there is no way you can just hide your thought when someone is always watching you. I test them and make them question themselves.I believe order Is more important than freedom.

My world is a total control government. We use fear, propaganda, and constant watching to control people. we rewrite history so no one knows what was the truth of how things happen from the past to present. If the party says something is true, then it is.

Dr Tyrell
2/26/2026 07:49:27 pm

I am Dr Tyrell THE scientist. The Creator of Replicants. I am like a god living above the broken and abandoned . I am driven by profit , power and business. I desire to make the most perfect beings ever to exist and I fear losing control over them. I rule the earth by capitalism and by an authoritarian system. The earth is a post-apocalyptic and corporate technology dystopia . It is ruined by nuclear wars ,becoming nothing but a wasteland . A world that is heavily influenced by neon advertisements and Japanese culture , where natural life is almost extinct . That earth is filled with intellectual machines called replicants, and are considered more humane than actual humans . The replicants are created and then implanted with emotions and memories from actual humans. The specific implanted memory predicts their future actions. In this world me and my corporation holds the power along with the LAPD, Los Angeles Police Department. In contrast to the earth, my world is peaceful, luxurious and isolated. At some point in time a crisis arose in which Rachel and Roy,replicants, developed human emotions, memories and desires , causing humans to fear their humanity and question their own, resulting in the prohibition of replicants on earth . The core stake revolves around whether artificial sentient beings with implanted memories possess souls and if they deserve rights, therefore replicants seek to fight against their programmed expiration date, death.

The world I come from also is under constant surveillance to ensure human clones do not escape or cause unnecessary trouble. Being constantly surveillanced is a method the institution of hailsham used to control us human clones.
