Young girls and women face broken dreams and cannot live a normal life. Blocking off all reality including education, schooling, and outdoor activity such as amusement parks. In seriousness action has been taken. Nick Schifrin shares these women's stories and the serious threats and matters they face.

I agree with this. I feel like that the fact that young girls and women face broken dreams it'll make the later generation the same way where it can turn into suicide.

Yea some action has been taken but so much more also needs to get put in place because it's worse now for them but it can progressively just start ruining the way these women see life and the future. They can't do the things that'll make them successful or can't even work where they choose to, how will these women make something or themselves? How could they make a living and take care of their children if they have just been held back from being banned over something that's beneficial to everyone in the world.

The women were also secretly staying in contact by using an anonymous website where they are able to learn english by one of the women in Afghanistan. She is putting her life on the line to help other women like her. She was a dentist student and unfortunately could no longer attend college due to the talibans.

As the United States we should help the women in the Taliban to freedom. In order to grow in the economy, people need education. Forcing women to stay home and not even be able to go out anywhere is sexist and disrespectful. The government won't allow women to get an education, however they don't allow male ob gyns to help women who are pregnant. This can cause maternal death and high risk pregnancies . What they're doing is wrong and something needs to be done about it.

I agree, I feel like we do need to help them to freedom. Without that they're so limited to the help they receive. I like the comment "In order for the economy to grow, people need education". I didn't really think of that. The more people we have who are educated, the more support we have as a whole (more people to rely on).

over the past year the taliban have banned women from attending school and just having a normal life. woman who had normal lives are now denied from anything. Women are having many protest on the street so that they can get the opportunity to be able to what they use to do. The taliban are now are killing people who are having protest and secret schools.

Women and young girls are unable to live a normal life due to the taliban oppression. Women and young girls that are passionate and protesting are receiving serious threats such as being held hostage, beaten to death, and getting shot at because the protesters are brave to stand up and fight for their freedom. But the ones who protest are afraid to go back home for a month because they're afraid that they'll get tracked down and be arrested or killed.

- The women who protest and even college students are left hopeless after building up many hopes and dreams for their future. They are tired but they continue to fight and protest. Roya mentioned that she would get beaten up and some of her friends would get arrested or even held hostage. Another girl had to stop going to school and she had dreams of being a dentist as well.

I agree with you because if the women in Afghanistan were to stop using their voices it will no longer be heard and everything will just get worse. even though the women are already at risk for protecting and using their voices they have made it this far for the United States to realize how wrong it is to take away rights especially from young females.

Women's rights to go to school, health care, and having a job are gone. They protest but it just puts their lives in danger. When they would protest, they would be threatened with death. I believe that if we were to "take over", we would be able to provide women with education and health care that they need and deserve.

I agree. I feel like if we were able to bring them to America, we would be able to give them more freedom with hope as well. They would have a better chance of not only survival, but getting to pursue their dreams.

Young girls are beginning to protest for their rights that were taken away from the talibans who have power over them. The young girls have been banned from continuing to gain education. When the young girls begin to protest they are threatened by the Taliban that shoot their refills around them and even hit by them. As outsiders of Afghanistan we could help them give their education by using translators and being able to access the secret websites they are using for each other. Then be able to find a secret way to possibly have them as an exchange student.

This video is about how women in afghanistan fight for their rights to education and schooling after the taliban has come and taken rule over afghanistan. These women go through death threats, protest, risk losing their lives and so much more just to try and gain back what they believe they deserve. (schooling/education) So my question is as a nation, why do we not help out the afghan women? Is there something that takes us against fighting for their rights? I feel as though all people regardless of their gender should be allowed the right of education and work.

The video that was being watched was about the young girls and women in Afghanistan having to fight to live a normal life against the taliban oppression. The taliban is targeting any young girls or women going to school or college or getting caught teaching classes they aren't supposed to or even people who are protesting for these types of issues. One protester and her friends were beaten up and held hostage by the taliban and were also getting threatened and treated horribly, some of those who were held hostage were held captive for months. One college student is teaching girls who can't go to school and get an education on an online platform, and she knows and understands the risk of having a secret school and what could possibly happen if she were to get caught.
